Izalia Ikmal Hisham

Director of Fundraising

Hi hi! I’m Izalia and I’m a junior! I’m originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and when I first heard of actuarial science, the word “science” honestly threw me off because I’ve never been much of a science person. Once I realized it was actually much more math-focused, I started looking into it and found that it combined a lot of what I already enjoyed: math, problem-solving, and business. I ultimately chose it because I wanted to build a career around something I’ve always been good at, while still choosing a path that would constantly challenge me and push me to become better at it. Outside of academics, I love staying involved on campus, going to the gym, bouldering, traveling, and spending time with friends! I’m always so happy to meet new people, so please feel free to come say hi to me!!
